ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

A Pound of Flesh Flat Canvas

Designed for tattoo artists who need a realistic surface for developing their skills, A Pound of Flesh Flat Canvas features a synthetic blend of silicone and rubber based materials that closely mimics the feel and resistance of human skin. Its flat surface is ideal for practicing precise linework, smooth shading, whip shading, black and gray techniques, and color packing. The Fitzpatrick Skin Tone 2 provides a light skin tone for evaluating tattoo ink contrast, saturation, and color visibility.

Tattooable on both sides, A Pound of Flesh Flat Canvas provides additional working space for technique drills, testing tattoo equipment, and developing new designs. Suitable for apprentices and experienced tattoo artists, it also allows artists to create finished tattoo artwork for display in their studio portfolios. Made in the USA, this synthetic tattoo canvas provides a consistent surface for improving needle control, refining techniques, and experimenting with different tattoo styles.

When to use it?

Use during tattoo apprenticeship training, technical practice sessions, and equipment testing. It is suitable for fine lines, bold outlines, whip shading, black and gray work, color saturation, and experimenting with different needle configurations. Its flat surface can also support basic PMU practice. To apply a tattoo stencil, clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol, apply Speed Stick deodorant to an alcohol soaked paper towel, and rub the mixture onto the desired area. Never apply deodorant directly to the canvas. Press the stencil firmly for 5 to 10 seconds, peel carefully, blow dry for 5 to 10 minutes, and allow it to dry completely overnight before tattooing.
